I was fortunate enough to photograph a re-interment of a confederate soldier who fought and died in the civil war. The preacher called Abraham Lincoln a godless infidel, and that the nobel southerners were fighting off the murderous, raping, pillaging, infidel New Englanders. I felt uncomfortable. So did the nice African American family who lived next to the graveyard when the preacher also said he was not ashamed that his great grandfather owned slaves.
